History of Electric Power (Engineering)

There's not much here yet; perhaps there never will be. But experience has shown there are plenty of hundreds of `customers' for files about historic electricity supply information, so it feels worth putting up rare items.

A book: "Electricity Supply in the UK: A chronology"

This book was made in the 1980s by a now-defunct association of nationally-owned electricity companies (The Electricity Council). There is no copyright notice, its wide dissemination being presumably the desire.

It does cover lots of key developments from around the world, in spite of its title, although it focuses on the UK situation most.

• Just the textual pages, after OCR, ~1.1MB. There are definitely some errors in the OCR, but it's pretty good. It's therefore a much smaller file, and is quicker and searchable. No pictures.
  


• Full scanned book, ~22MB. No OCR. Picture plates inserted before index rather than in the centre of the book.
